The Boeing Company is the founding partner of the U.S.-China Bilateral Trade Internship Program, whose generous contribution made possible the creation of this unique and special program.

The Boeing Company is recognized as an industry leader in supporting a strong and robust U.S.-China bilateral trade relationship and advocating for continued economic growth. Boeing partnered with The Washington Center to launch the U.S.-China Bilateral Trade Internship Program to continue creating mechanisms to expand collaboration between the two countries. The overarching goal of the program is to develop leaders in both China and the U.S. who will return to their communities and contribute to their countries.

The Washington Center has the support of the Embassy of the People’s Republic of China in the United States of America and the Embassy of the United States in Beijing, China. Both Embassies have provided important feedback and recommendations to make the program an exceptional opportunity for students from both countries.

For the first year of the program, The Washington Center has partnered with the following six universities:

After receiving and interviewing approximately 70 applicants from these six universities, 20 students were selected to attend the program in 2008.
